We’re looking for an inspiring Teacher – Individual Support, Ageing & Disability to join our Faculty of Health, Community & Animals. If you love empowering students, delivering high‑quality learning, and making a real community impact, this role is for you.

In this position, you’ll use your industry and teaching expertise to create engaging, practice‑focused learning experiences. You will support learners as they develop essential skills, preparing them for meaningful careers across aged care, disability support and broader health services.

You’ll ensure that your teaching reflects current industry standards, contributes to a positive learning environment, and inspires students to confidently enter the workforce as capable and compassionate support workers.

Note: This position is a 0.8FTE part time fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2026

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and industry‑aligned training in Individual Support, Ageing & Disability across classroom, simulated, and workplace environments.
  • Develop and update high‑quality learning resources and assessments that reflect current sector practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess student competency using compliant assessment tools and provide clear, timely and supportive feedback.
  • Support learners throughout their study journey, identifying those at risk and implementing strategies to enhance completion and confidence.
  • Maintain vocational and professional currency to ensure training reflects industry expectations and best practice.
  • Contribute to moderation, validation and continuous improvement activities within the teaching team.

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, compliance standards and the vocational education environment.
  • Ability to create supportive, engaging and student‑focused learning experiences for diverse cohorts.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining vocational relevance.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and/or a higher teaching qualification.
  • A current and relevant qualification in Health, Aged Care, Disability or related fields.
  • Ability to obtain (or current possession of) a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
